  • QUICK TIPS FOR THE NEW PLAYER

  • Shooting is automatic: Just point your plane at a target. Better aim = more damage
  • Practice landing! No need to die for repairs and resupply.
  • You turn 50% faster while in a roll
  • Most enemies won't venture in to the clouds for long
  • You win only by destroying all of the buildings...
  • ...but most points are earned through dogfighting
  • A win is guaranteed - you have infinite lives but the opponents do not

    Each battle presents the same scenario but how you handle it affects the final score. You can expect to encounter at least 26 enemy planes including four aces. Here is how you can make the most of it.

    JUDGING YOUR SKILL

    So you've managed to win the battle a few times but don't quite know how you've done? Here's a qualitative guage of your skill based on the highest rank awarded:

  • Marshal of the Royal Air Force - You've mastered the game! (PLEASE TELL US!)
  • Air Chief Marshal - No one has reported achieving this rank legitimately
  • Air Marshal - If you've made it this far, you know what it takes to succeed!
  • Air Vice-Marshal - A top-tier pilot! To advance, You need a multi-feat strategy
  • Air Commodore - The stars are aligning: achievements, dogfighting, feats
  • Group Captain - A solid veteran pilot!
  • Wing Commander - Probably as far as you can go without farming achievements
  • Squadron Leader - A seasoned pilot, try killing more enemies without getting hit
  • Flight Lieutenant - Start thinking how to get more achievements in to a battle
  • Flying Officer - You may need to work on survival as each death costs one point
  • Pilot Officer - Still a beginner, try shooting down more enemies
  • Cadet - You managed to win but with little flair
  • Trainee - Everyone starts here
  • Traitor - You're working for the enemy
  • As of this writing (Nov, 2012), the highest rank reported has been Air Vice-Marshal
